Blue walls and chubby cheeks!

So, it was a big baby weekend. Sometimes I try really hard to think about things to post about other than the baby... and I just can't. Sorry if it gets old.

We had another sonogram on Saturday. This was our last peek into the womb before he arrives. Apparently it is harder to get pictures of breech babies, so I was excited for this visit to the sonogram place knowing that he had flipped. She put the warm jelly on my belly as I was telling her that he was in his "ready to launch" position. She put the magic wand on my belly and LO AND BEHOLD: baby was breech again. Ah man, son! You were supposed to stay upside down for the sonographer, and then flip back over. 25% of babies are breech at 32 weeks, and they usually settle into position by week 36. If by week 37 he's still breech, there's not much of a chance he'll turn over. At least that makes going to the doctor each week a little more exciting (Our usual doctor visits consist of 20-45 minute wait in the waiting room, then pee in a cup and get on the scale. Then 20-45 minutes waiting in the room, then 10 minutes of saying hi to the Doctor, finding the heart beat, measuring my belly, and see you later.)

So, we got some quality time with our baby this weekend, and got to see him trying to eat his hand :-) we got a few good pictures, but nothing fantastic like I was hoping. That's okay, he'll be here soon enough, and I'm pretty sure lots of pictures will be taken of the little guy.

THEN... I got the bedding stuff in from restoration hardware!!!!!!!!!!!! I was able to get paint mixed, and Dave from craigslist came and painted the baby's room this morning. THEN.... we got to pick up the CRIB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jarrod parents have a truck, so we loaded it up and brought it over here. Jarrods dad was gracious enough to stay and help put the thing together tonight too. It was really neat to see Jarrod working on putting together his baby's crib with his father.
The color on the walls is perfect, and I love the bedding, and I couldn't be more thrilled with the crib. It's starting to come together!!

When we were at Babies R Us picking up his crib today, I browsed the baby clothes. They have the cutest stuff, and I broke down and bought another clothing item for him. (I'm trying not to buy him any clothes, because I know that other people enjoy buying baby clothes... especially Grandmas... and I don't want him to have too much). But, I couldn't resist. Every night when Jarrod talk to his baby, he always gets real close to my belly and says "Hey little guy..." That's what he's been calling him all along "Little Guy." Neither one of us use his name yet, it's still too weird. He's been our "Little Guy," so when I saw this, I just couldn't resist:

If you can't see it clearly, it's a moose with "Little Guy" written under it. I love it. I can't believe it.

Can't wait to meet you, Little guy. Your room is getting much closer, but you still don't have a place to rest your head quite yet. We need to get your a mattress, so you just hang tight in there for another 6 weeks at least (but no more than 8 weeks, okay?)
