And, being the classy folks we are, we took pictures of the food :-) (we have no shame... although Jarrod did play lookout so I could hide the camera when the wait staff was coming, so I guess we do have shame. I took the pictures quickly, and the lighting was poor, so these pictures are terrible, but you get the idea)
We had 3 (THREE!!) appetizers:
Appetizer number 1: Bruschetta al Pomodoro — Toasted slices of homemade bread topped with fresh diced tomatoes, garlic, chopped basil and mozzarella. Drizzled with extra virgin olive oil
Appetizer number 2: Ostriche al forno — Oysters baked with fresh spinach, chopped onions, and bacon bids in champagne sauce
Appetizer number 3: Gamberoni Farciti — Three jumbo prawns stuffed with fresh lump crab meat, topped with creamy sun dried tomato sauce
Stef's Entree: Vitello alla Oscar — Veal scaloppini and fresh crab meat in a light brandy cream sauce
Jarrod's Entree: Bistecca con Salsa al Forno — 12- oz rib eye, aged, marinated and grilled, served with Madeira wine and mushroom sauce, side of homemade mashed potatoes
We forgot to take pictures of the Desserts
Dessert #1: Tiramisu — Lady Finger soaked in rum and espresso layered with mascarpone cheese (which we packed up and ate at home while watching House)
Dessert #2: Crème Brulee — Vanilla custard with a caramelized sugar crust
Topped off with a killer Cappuccino.
AMAZING
