My son, a hipster?

So apparently my baby has a "hipster" name. I'm not sure how I feel about him being on a list with other names such as: Tullulah, Roscoe, Poppy, Magnus, and Butch.

His name, although still hard to refer to him as Levi, has become more and more meaningful as the months have past. I believe we have picked the perfect name for our son. One cool thing that I didn't even think about is that he may choose to go be Lee later on in life... which is my middle name! (Leigh) So, our little Levi Randell will have a little of both of our names in it. (Randell is Jarrods middle name: as well as Jarrods dad's first name, and Jarrod's Grandpa's middle name)

I've posted this before, but it's just so good:

"When the Lord divided Canaan among the tribes of Israel, Levi received no share of the land. God said to him simply,"I am thy part and thine inheritance," and by those words made him richer than all his brethren, richer than all the kings and rajas who have ever lived in the world. And there is a spiritual principle here, a principle still valid for every priest of the Most High God. The man who has God for his treasure has all things in One. Many ordinary treasures may be denied him, or if he is allowed to have them, the enjoyment of them will be so tempered that they will never be necessary to his happiness. Or if he must see them go, one after one, he will scarcely feel a sense of loss, for having the Source of all things he has in One all satisfaction, all pleasure, all delight. Whatever he may lose, he has actually lost nothing, for he now has it all in One, and he has it purely, legitimately, and forever."

That's also one of my little brother's middle names, James Randell Lee Workman. But I know that had nothing to do with it, haha! Congratulations on picking out his beautiful little name with lots of meaning to his, deep rooted in the bible and his family.

This also has nothing to do with it, but my brother's name is Lee Hunter and my dad's name is John Randall. Ha! I like Levi---good pick! Great quote.

Don't worry about the "hipster" list. If we looked, there's no telling how many lists we'd find Michael on. What matters is the meaning it has for you. Michael will know he was named after three VERY important people. Levi will know what his name means and how ya'll cam up with it.

I love the meaning behind names, particularly when the name is chosen for the meaning and not just a coincidence. And thank goodness you didn't choose "Gene" for his middle name. :)
